01Who we are
Duramen Studio, LLC ("Duramen Studio," "we," "us") is a web design studio based in Topeka, Kansas. This policy covers this website and the forms on it. It does not cover the websites we build for clients; each client publishes their own policy.
02What we collect
What you give us. When you book a free site review, download the checkup or contact us, we collect what you type in: your name, business name, email, phone number, website address and anything you write in a message.
What is collected automatically. Like every website, our hosting provider keeps basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited and the time of the visit) to keep the site secure and running. We do not use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking tools on this site.
03What we never collect
Our forms never ask for health information, patient records or payment card numbers, and we ask that you do not send them to us by form or email. If you work in health care, please leave patient details out of anything you send.
When you pay for client work, payment is handled by [payment processor]. We never see or store your full card or bank account number.
04How we use it
- To reply to you and schedule your site review
- To send the checkup or guide you asked for
- To send the follow-up emails described below, which you can stop at any time
- To plan, build and support your project if you become a client
- To keep the business records that tax and other laws require
We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own advertising.
05Emails, calls and texts
If you download the checkup or a guide, we will email you a copy and [a short series of follow-up emails with tips]. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we honor it within 10 business days.
We only text you if you have agreed to receive texts, and you can reply STOP at any time. If we have called your business and you would like us to stop, tell us on the call or by email and we will add you to our do-not-call list.
06Tools that help us
A few trusted services handle information for us: [booking tool] for scheduling, [email and form tool] for forms and email, [hosting provider] for this website, and [payment processor] for invoices. They may only use it to provide their service to us, and each has its own privacy policy.
07Cookies
This site uses only the cookies it needs to work, such as those that keep a form or the booking calendar running. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, so there is nothing to opt in or out of. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though some forms may not work if you do.
08How long we keep it
If you contact us and do not become a client, we keep your details for up to [24 months] and then delete them. Client records are kept for as long as tax and legal rules require, usually [7 years].
09Your choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email clayton@duramenstudio.com and we will reply within [30 days]. We may keep what the law requires us to keep, and we will tell you if that applies.
10Keeping it safe
We use reputable providers, strong passwords and two-factor sign-in, and we limit who can see your information. No system is perfect, so we cannot promise information will never be exposed, but if a problem affects you, we will tell you promptly.
11Children
This site is for businesses. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
12Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so on the site or by email.
